Open Fit

This type leaves the ear canal wide open, to allow low-frequency sounds to enter the ear naturally, while the high-frequency sounds are magnified through the hearing aid. This hearing aid machine is suitable for persons with mild to moderate hearing loss.

Other types of hearing aid machines include Invisible-In-The-Canal (IIC), In-The-Canal (ITC) and Receiver-In-Canal (RIC).
